On December 19, 2008, we took a spin through Ruth and Bernie Madoff's political giving because money trails illuminate. Not that political giving is problemmatic per se. In some ways, it helps the world go round.

The Madoffs were not greedy people in the context of thier dollars and politicians. The AP's math concluded that the Madoff clan and employees contributed at least $267,000 at the federal level from 2001 to the present. The Madoff Firm's hired lobbyists gave incremental amounts, of course.
