A 34-year-old woman in Wisconsin was ordered to serve up to three years in a mental institution for using her
daughter's identity to redo her youth. She enrolled in a Wisconsin
Brown was found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to an
identity theft.
A forensic psychiatrist found that Brown suffered from bipolar and
borderline personality disorder, which resulted in delusional mental illness.
Of course. The psychiatrist found she was not able to appreciate the
wrongfulness of her conduct and was unable to conform to society.
Having had the pleasure of visitor status at mental health facilities, this
placement seems fair enough. It is sort of prison-like, not having access to
things like shoe strings and AWOL risk warning signs on the locked doors. Her peers are
likely to be far more entertaining (in a sad way ... ) than the
local con in jail. Three years, however, is a but a blink for fundamentally troubled
folks. Just sayin'...
At the hearing, the daughter- wanna- be said "I'm not a bad person. I just made a mistake". Right. Not bad person. Just bad decisions. Right. Not really her fault. Brown said,"I just made a mistake."
Just.
