Sarah Palin, in a way, helped raise money for Planned Parenthood. An email campaign - not sponsored by Planned Parenthood - encouraged donations made to the organization to be put in Governor Palin's name. (Palin said anti-hunting groups are doing the same thing.) The Governor, in turn, was flooded with thank you notes from the organization in the standard practice of thanking donors. All told, the effort raised about a million.
Palin called it "great theater" and said it wouldn't budge her views. Not that it was intended to.
Frankly, this somewhat silly stunt intended to shine a not so friendly light on the Governor did less harm to Palin than did the pre-Thanksgivign turkey-kill interview planned by Palin's very own staff...
